Beliefs

The Word
What do we believe?
We practice historical, Biblical Christianity. To make a long story short, we believe that the Bible is the word of God and that it is truth for our lives. Our teaching reflects that belief. We may each have different interpretations of certain passages of scripture, and personal experiences as we walk through life, but the Bible teaches absolute truth.
As such, we have developed a Statement of Beliefs on the “absolutes” of what we believe:
We Believe
- The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God.
- There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- In the Lord Jesus Christ: his pre-existence, incarnation, virgin birth, death, and resurrection.
- Only through Jesus Christ can one be saved from sin and come into relationship with God.
- Baptism in water as testimony of belief in Jesus Christ.
- The baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence is God’s empowering for the believer to be His witness.
- The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today.
- The Church locally and universally is the body of Christ.
- Man was created to have relationship with God and to worship and glorify Him.
